Since 2011, the Nye family has tackled food insecurity in the Northland by using their marketing, trucks, and warehousing to collect and store donations when food shelves are overwhelmed. After the holiday rush, these donations are distributed when needed most.

A-1 Movers Inc assists in warehousing and storing all of the #20,000-25,000 LBS + annual proceeds collected from the Super One Fill the Truck Food drive sites and then are transported and stored at A-1 Movers INC's Facilities. If you think about how much space in your cart/car and eventually your kitchen that 1 trip to the grocery store takes up, then you can imagine the volume of a couple of semis! Once the holiday season slows down and the Salvation Army has more room to accommodate the donations to their food pantries, A-1 arranges and transports the food once again to its end distribution source.

Since 2008 A-1 Movers INC donates its spare time and equipment to a great cause for our Northland community through their partnership with Bentleyville to deliver their trailers to and from storage to the five million lights and displays that make Canal Park Glow each holiday season. A-1 Movers INC appreciates the chance to assist in this free for all lighting display that also helps to raise monetary, food and toy donations!

Move for Hunger is a national non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need. "fighting hunger across North America" With A-1 Movers INC annual "fill the truck food drive" accompanied by the rest of their network collectively generating over 48,938,158 Meals as of 2025!

As a member of the Superior Chamber, A-1 Movers joins a network of 400+ businesses working to support economic development and community success.
